I truly believe that my training for my life's work began when I was born into an alcoholic family. My own life struggles led me to healing and hope through our Lord, which in turn gave me hope and more tools to help others. For me this is a calling more than an occupation.
I enjoy working at ACTS because God is working here. Henry Blackaby said, "Find out where God is at work and join Him there." And for me it was ACTS and it continues to be. I really enjoy working where God is working.
I earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2007. I’ve been a part of ACTS for over 7 years. I know that other issues often accompany chemical dependency; my work as a therapist and minister has focused on sexual addiction, sexual abuse, and the overall impact of addictions. Its been a privileged to serve people within Antioch Counseling and Treatment Services.
As a former client, cared for by each of the ACTS counselors, my life has changed forever. I found value in myself, I'm happy with my family life, and my walk with God is stronger. ACTS has made me the person I am today. I'm so blessed with the privilege to see the lives of others change and to work with such an amazing team.
